Overview

Over time, our skin changes and can lose its youthful look. If we’ve avoided preventative measures or due to heredity, we can experience significant skin aging-discoloration wrinkles, and skin laxity. The Encore UltraPulse FX laser is a newer treatment designed to safely and effectively provide total skin rejuvenation, diminishing wrinkles, age spots, acne scarring, and stimulating collagen production resulting in tighter, smoother and more even toned skin.

You are a candidate for the Encore UltraPulse FX laser if:

• You are bothered by fine lines, wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation
• You are busy and looking for a treatment with minimal downtime
• You are looking for the best laser for overall skin rejuvenation and want to avoid general anesthesia
• You want to enhance your surgical face-lift or eyelid rejuvenation procedures with total skin rejuvenation.
• You are not pregnant or lactating

How the procedure is performed:

• 2 hours in the office – one hour to prep and sit with topical anesthetic, one hour for actual laser treatment
• Or, 1 hour in an outpatient surgery center under general anesthesia for maximum benefit.
• The Encore Ultra-Pulse Laser FX Laser utilizes fractional carbon dioxide laser technology which delivers intense and efficient heat to the surface of the skin and below the skin’s surface.
• The treatment can be customized for your skin type based on the amount of downtime you are able to take and the amount of improvement you desire

Recovery:

• You can go home following your procedure, but you’ll need someone to drive you
• Dr. Bucko will prescribe you with pain medication, anti-anxiety medication, and an anti-viral to optimize your recovery
• You will experience redness and swelling following your treatment that will last anywhere from 5-14 days depending which level of treatment we use
