Overview
Your skin is constantly renewing itself. However, as we age and due to environmental damage, healthy skin behavior is inhibited leading to many undesirable changes. In addition to changes you may notice such as dryness, wrinkling and pigmentation changes, poor skin behavior will exacerbate aging as your skin becomes less effective at protecting itself from further environmental damage. This leads to a snowball effect and speeds up skin aging. The Active Treatment is a facial that removes your dead skin cells and delivers powerful nutrients such as proteins, pigmentation correctors, antioxidants and other ingredients to cellular level in order to help your skin get back on track with its natural renewal process.
You are a candidate for an Active Treatment if:
• You are looking for a facial treatment that will stimulate your skin to perform optimally and be more receptive to change
• You have been off Accutane for 6 months prior to treatment
• You are not pregnant or lactating
• You don’t plan on being in sun around the time of your treatment
How the procedure is performed:
• 60 minutes in the office with a Medical Aesthetician
• An instrument is used to gently remove your uppermost level of dead skin cells
• Once the “barrier” is removed, a variety of medical grade ingredients and nutrients are applied to the skin’s surface based on your skin’s condition.
• The aesthetician will apply anti-oxidents, and sunscreen to your skin so that you are protected.
• You may apply make-up after if you’d like
Recovery:
• There is no downtime with this treatment, you will look great as soon as you are done
• It is recommended that you use sunscreen at all times to protect your skin
