You are a candidate for Breast Enhancement if:
• You would like larger breasts
• You have one breast that is larger/smaller than the other
How the procedure if performed:
• 1.5 hours in an outpatient surgery center under general anesthesia
• Incisions are made around the bottom half of the areola (periareolar incision)
• Through those incisions the implant is generally placed under the pectoral muscle
• Dr. Bucko will use sutures to close the incisions, and tape to protect your incisions
• Dr. Bucko will also provide you with a surgical type sports bra to go home with for comfort and healing
Recovery:
• You can go home after your procedure or we can arrange AFTERCARE for you
• Dr. Bucko will prescribe pain medication, anti-nausea medication, antibiotics, and any other medications you need to optimize your recovery
• Sutures are removed 4-6 days after surgery
• Most patients feel great 5 days after surgery and look great 2 weeks after surgery
• Most patients can resume exercise and all normal activities within 3 weeks following surgery
