5 Steps to “Winterize” Your Skin

13
Dec

When the weather gets cold we pull out our sweaters, socks and boots, but what do we do for our skin?

The colder weather does affect our skin by creating changes. Here are 5 steps to winterize your skin!

1. Use moisturizer every day! You may need to step up your moisturizer to something that is more emollient.

2. Wear SPF- even though the sun isn’t as hot you are still getting UV rays, but also it will help to give the skin more of a barrier protection from the elements (cold, wind, etc.)

3. Add an antioxidant serum to combat free radical activity caused by the outside elements. (Talk to the staff at the Belladerma Center about the Power of 3 Cream offered by Dr. Bucko.)

4. Don’t use really hot water to cleanse your skin- this will dehydrate the skin even more. Stick with tepid water!

5. Never go to bed with make-up on- this dehydrates the skin drastically and makes your skin look old.

Follow these 5 easy steps for winter skin care – you’ll be glad you did!

I am interested in a consultation with Dr. Bucko for a mini facial (neck, jowls). A later afternoon appt is preferred – 4:30 to 5:00 if possible. Thank you.
